1- Name a book or series that you can re-read again and again. JK Rowling, Harry Potter series. She created this entire fantastic world, it's just so easy to get immersed in. I discover new things on each re-read.
2- Name an author whose book you could never NOT buy. Sherrilyn Kenyon
3- What was the first book or author that made you want to write? Bullfinch's Mythology. It took me into a world of gods and goddesses, of battles and honor. It brought alive the past for me and made me want to believe in it so badly.
4- What's your favorite movie based on a book? The Silence of the Lambs. The movie just made Hannibal THAT much creepier.
5- Where do you do most of your writing? Curled up on the living room couch, earbuds in
6- Where/When do you find you are most creative? Unfortunately, when I'm either in the bathtub relaxing or at the point where I'm JUST about almost asleep. It's like my brain says "Quick, she's got no pen/paper or computer...hit her with a cacophony of amazing ideas! But do it so fast that she can't remember any clearly when she gets to a computer or her notebook and pen. Muahahahah!"
7- Name one TV show/movie universe you would want to live in. I would love to be able to live in the Originals world. Magic and vampires, werewolves and curses set against the backdrop of historical New Orleans, where every night something is being celebrated. That and you know, there's Klaus and Elijah and Marcel and.... I'll stop now. That or Supernatural. Though I'd never manage to get anything done because I'd be following Dean like a lost puppy trying to forcibly remove articles of clothing from him. Oops.
8- Name one book/comic universe you would want to live in. Well, I think I've sort of already done that. Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter world spans so many cultures, so many time frames. There are tortured heroes, antiheroes, love interests, gods, goddesses, vampires, demons, were-animals. The world she's created is simply so vast that everywhere you turn there is something that can transfix you. The characters are written so well that they seem real, like you could hop a plane to New Orleans and see Acheron in his black trench in the French Quarter, arguing with his demon daughter that she cannot eat the moo-moos, and humans are off the menu. It was the first series I wrote when I began to roleplay. It's been 3 years and 12 characters, I still haven't tired of it yet.
9- You're on a deserted island. If your Ipod was limited to one song, what would it be? Dear Gods. No, truly you don't understand this dilemma. My Ipod currently has almost 2500 songs on it, and I'm still finding some that I'm missing. Lately I've been listening to Crystal by Fleetwood Mac for my writing, and Animals by Maroon 5. I suppose if I could only have one song, I'd like it to be something that reminded me of the feeling of being able to go home, so I'd choose City of Angels by Thirty Seconds to Mars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqG9e3qpgoc Listening to this song live in concert 2 feet from him is more amazing than anything I've experienced to date. The sound of thousands of people singing "I Am Home" becomes almost a religious experience to remember the awe at that moment. The feeling and emotions bleed through so easily, and make me feel like anywhere I am is home.
10- You're writing on a deadline, what is your drink of choice? Pepsi. Always always Pepsi.
11- What fictional character would you most like to meet? This one is a toughie. There are so may that would be enjoyable to spend some time with, get to know them. As I am a roleplayer, I have actually experienced that feeling a lot, as many are "canon" meaning they follow strictly what the author has written for the character. I think out of everything though, I'd really love to meet Albus Dumbledore. To hear his stories and wisdom in person, to feel the strength and serenity that he held. That or Acheron, just to spend an hour in his presence. It'd take me years to decode whatever he said, but it'd be worth it.
12- What fictional character are you most like? Tally Raines. She maintains strict control of everything. Herself. Her workplace. Her home. Her emotions. Everything. She's broken inside and she find solace in the fact that while she couldn't control her past and her pain, she can control everything else. Problem is that it leads to being alone and lonely. All of us Tally's dream that one day someone (or two someones) will have the courage to push past our prickly exterior and remind us that we're not broken, we're survivors. 13- What author do you avoid reading and why? There are a few. Most of the time it's because I just cannot get into the writing. Stephen King, even though he's almost universally beloved, I find his writing tedious and dry. It's so hard for me to actually finish any of his novels. A lot of the teen genre bothers me as it seems so asinine and one dimensional. When I was a teen I cared about a lot more than the new hot guy, the big dance, and/or every small thing turning into a catastrophe that will just RUIN my life. Teens can be written well, but sadly most of the books I've picked up have been disappointing in that respect. EL James is an auto-no. I read 50 Shades due to my friends swearing that it was the best thing ever. I have lost respect for those friends and their terrible, terrible reading judgement.
14- Are you afraid of the dark? I'm not afraid of the dark, no, I'm quite comfortable there by myself. I'm afraid of the things that lurk in the dark, those moments where I'm not alone.

16- Worst quote from a book. Pretty much anything from 50 Shades that references her "inner goddess" or her subconscious. Look lady, we can all think for ourselves, but that doesn't mean we have to tell everyone our inner goddess is dancing the samba or our subconscious is doing the hula. I think they make pills for these specific mental disorders, to be honest.
17- Best quote from a book. Warning, yet again, adult ROFL Wicked Intent, Lora Leigh- “Do you really think you can control me with sex, Lucian?” she asked him, her voice cold, filled with loathing. “Do I really appear to be such a twit that all you have to do is f**k me to handle me? You have another thing coming.” She punctuated her words with a forceful jab of her finger into his hard, muscular chest. “No one handles me. No man controls me. Not now. Not ever.” He glanced down at her finger. Slowly. A second later his gaze speared into hers once again. “I’ll control you, Tally,” he told her, the tone of his voice whispering of a sexual dominance, an excitement she had only imagined before. “We’ll control you, and I promise you, when we do, you’ll beg for it.”
18- Worst book you ever read. 50 Shades. I swear I wanted to gouge out my eyes after the first few chapters just so I had a medical reason why I couldn't continue.
19- If you could have an animal sidekick, real or imaginary, what would it be? I have one! My eternal velco-glued to my side Molly the bassle. (basset/beagle mix) Though if I could add imaginary, I'd love to be able to actually have a conversation with her. One sided conversations are fun but rarely intellectually stimulating. Plus she's so stubborn and fussy and has her own personality, it'd be fun to be able to argue with her for realsies instead of arguing with myself ABOUT her.
20- What is the project you are currently working on? Right now I am working on a few different things. My roleplaying characters always have something going on at roleplaylives.net. I'm in the process of writing an anthology of erotica/romance stories that hopefully will be published by the end of this year if I get my behind moving. I'm also knee deep in preparations for a non-fiction book or two, though the ideas are rather jumbled at the moment. I figure once the anthology is further along, the other ideas will form an orderly queue and wait their turn in line. (Why yes, I have been called the Queen of Denial at times, why do you ask??)
