50 Shades of Gray

As she stands in front of the misty mirror, steamy wisps curl throughout the air. The hot shower was just what she needed after a long day at work. As the mist lifts from the mirror she can just make out her image and sees..what is that...Gray?? Is that Gray? Yes it is! OMG it's Gray!

Feelings course throughout her body. Strange feelings. Is it..can it be? Love?? No, that's not it. She's exhilarated! No, not quite that. A tingling starts at her toes and gradually works it's way up her body. She calms herself. Closes her eyes and tries to get a grip on her emotions.

As she opens her eyes, she sees the fully cleared mirror and there can be no mistake, it's definitely Gray. Her feelings that she tried so hard to get control of are overwhelming her. How can it be Gray, here, now? All she can think of is, would it be better tied up in a simple way or perhaps bound from top to bottom? She's heard that a honey massage is amazing but also coconut oil can be stimulating. So many thoughts are whirling through her mind.

Her feelings are building within her. She has to get a grip before she just explodes right here. She now knows what she's been feeling, dreading to acknowledge...she's getting old.

Look at all the gray hair! OMG.

Turning gray; a right of passage, a symbol of wisdom earned through life's adventures, and very in to be gray and silver in 2022. I found my first gray hair when I was 13. OMG! Of course the other side of gray is that it's caused by senescent cells. Either way, I'm rocking the gray! Loved the excerpt of the experience of one discovering gray. I can relate to the "freak-out".
