This #writing challenge is for anyone really. Authors, hobbyists, readers, anyone that wants to hone their writing skills. Thanks to Mandi for the idea.

The goal is that....think about any type of writing. Whether you personally write it or not. What if in a future work, your character sees a fight, or reads a review, or is watching a commercial of TV, something like that. You can't know how your characters would react unless you can sort of know what they'd be reading/watching/seeing. So learning to write different types of things can help make a well-rounded writer or just boost your everyday writing skills.

Here are some genres. Feel free to PM me with more to add. Please note that Erotica or any adult type of writing needs to either go in your own private Group, http://literarysocial.com/pages/ , or post it to the private group made by Mandi, http://literarysocial.com/romanceanderotica/ as we need to keep that out of the general area.

Please write your stories in the Stories section, http://literarysocial.com/article/ and feel free to link your story in a post in this thread so everyone can see it. (If you write in the erotica private groups, you can link the story too)

My challenge, since I normally write horror, is a romance that I started here, http://literarysocial.com/forum/thread/83/new-stuffs-to-try/view_161/ . Well I think it will be romance. It could turn out into a combination of romance/thriller or, who knows? The writing goes where it goes. Still, I'm attempting romance.

Since I've never written a horror story, that would be my challenge to immerse into a horror story while wielding a good story background.  My favorite horror movies always have a strong back story.
