    Building Your Mailing List
Building your mailing list can take more time, aggravation, tears, and patience than writing the actual book. Some people don't realize this, so it can come as an unexpected surprise. People don't like sharing their email. ...

I used an author newsletter swap put on by a popular company. https://www.authorsxp.com

It was $45, and had separate genres so you could target your reach to people that actually READ what you tend to write.

Once the event was over, I received an email with a .csv file with all the newsletter subscribers and the names of the winners that I had to send books to. (Three winners, total)

I sent the books, imported the .csv file into SendInBlue. I started with 30 subscribers. After the event? 1,777 paranormal romance fans.

      WELL worth the cost!  less

For the most part, when people ask for your site, they'll be referring to your main author site or your Facebook page. The problem is that most sites don't give an opportunity for people to be reminded to come back. Facebook has its own hurdles, notably...

No one is perfect. That's as true today as it has always been, and will always be. We all make mistakes, sometimes ones we look back on and think "What in the world happened there?" This is why editing is a necessary part of the writing process. Your voic...

To Brag, or Not To Brag... That is the question.
To Brag, or Not To Brag... That is the question.
Many of us have a hard time writing or talking about ourselves. It's instinctive. Most people see any type of positive speaking on themselves as bragging, gloating, or the newest one, “humble-bragging”. A lot of us write because we have low self-esteem to...
