    War
The pen is mightier? Not anymore. Now all those mighty, choose hatred and war. Deception and death, mistrust and mistakes. Just one person is all that it takes. Accept one another, our faults and our flaws. And accept ourselves or we all shall fall.

Your Eyes Will Never Lie to Me
Look into my eyes, and peer into my soul There's just one price to pay, just one tiny toll Blue brown grey or green they're all a sight to see But look into the soul of man, to see who they really be See their soul, see their pain, see their love as well...

    Bad Luck Charm
"What is it now? Six months? Eight? Who knows anymore…" I sighed and lit up my last cigarette then threw the empty pack off the edge. I enjoyed it as though it'd be my last. Who knows, maybe it will be. I laid back on my chair and put my feet up on...

    Otto the Otter
Nearby, in the ocean, lived an otter by the name of Otto. When Otto was a little baby, he was walking on the beach and spotted something sparkling in the distance. As he walked closer, he found it. A special rock just for him. All otters have one, that on...

I am surrounded. The darkness envelops every ounce of my being. I haven't the power to stop it from seeping in. I can only wait, and finally, as always, my waiting pays off. A bright light flashes inside me. It is a blinding light, yet it allows me sight,...

Everyday, sometimes even more than once, a piece of me is torn away. Is it because I am too soft? If so I would harden myself in an instant to avoid such unpleasantness. Or was I simply made this way? Fate, perhaps? If this is fate, though, then it is a f...

Special Treat - The Drifter - Chapters One and Two
Chapter One I darted through the alleyway, my long, dirty green jacket waving backwards at the two men chasing me, almost as if it was telling them to catch me. Just grab on to my hand and drag me down. I thought I'd have more time with this one, but eve...

    Survival Psych Story
My heart beats in my chest louder than any other noise in the forgotten city. I almost want to stop, but can I? Can I stop? What if my family and I are the the last ones? What if we are humanity? It’s been months since I’ve seen another person...

  • Mandi Konesni It's October 29th. That means.... NanoWriMo is almost here! Eek! The first year I was a pantster with no planning. The second year, I was a plantster... some planning, but not really a whole outline or anything. This year, I took the plunge and have transformed into a full-on planner. I utilized OneNote and my plotting book NovelCraft to create an online outline. I plotted out my characters, locations, settings, etc. I feel more ready than I ever have, but the days leading up to Nano are always nervous ones... have I planned enough? Am I prepared enough? Do I have all my snacks, drinks, and things in hand? We'll see!
